Seventeen students from the Faculty of Technology’s Building Services Technology Intake 39 and 40 attended an onsite training workshop on Industrial Health and Safety in Colombo Dockyard On March 30, 2023.
The primary goals of this workshop were to recognize and understand the significance of workplace hazards, identify common workplace hazards, understand how to reduce risk, know how to react in an emergency, and practice using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The training was a success with the assistance of executive managers, engineers, and staff of the Colombo Dockyard.
