The 16th International Research Conference (IRC) of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) on โAchieving Resilience through Digitalization, Sustainability and Sectoral Transformationโ was held from 07th and 08th September 2023.
The International Research Conference is a platform that brings experts and scholars from various fields to showcase their research endeavours and exchange knowledge. Faculty of Technology conducted its Session under the theme of โAchieving Sustainable Development through Technological Advancementโ. Plenary speakers shared their research experiences in advancements of Technology in various fields, including Environment, Civil Construction, Nuclear science, Chemical and Process Engineering and Biomedical Science.
Prof. Hasin Anupama Azhari from the Centre of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Bangladesh, participated as a plenary speaker and shared her knowledge and experience and discussed with the dean and the faculty staff about the potential to build new international research collaborations with Bangladesh, which was a favourable move for the faculty to enhance future research endeavours.
The technical session provided a platform to motivate new researchers and exchange and enhance knowledge. Dr EKDHD Siriwardana was awarded the Best Paper Award from Technical Session, and Ms WAG Thilini was awarded the Best Poster award, which served as a testament to the dedication and innovative spirit of the researchers.
