The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) was privileged to host an insightful workshop on Higher Studies and Research Opportunities in Germany, conducted by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). The event took place on 02.07.2025, at the FGS, KDU and drew the enthusiastic participation of undergraduates, postgraduates, and academic staff from various faculties.
The session was led by Ms. Nimaya Manudewa, Regional Officer at the DAAD Information Centre, Colombo. With her extensive experience in academic mobility and international education, Ms. Manudewa provided a comprehensive overview of the higher education landscape in Germany. She elaborated on fully and partially funded programs available for Sri Lankan students and discussed pathways for pursuing Master’s, PhD, and research opportunities at renowned German institutions.
KDU extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Nimaya Manudewa and the DAAD Information Centre for conducting this valuable workshop, which strengthened the university’s commitment to promoting global academic engagement and higher education opportunities abroad.
