Faculty of Technology conducts its annual Fresher’s exhibition on 16th September 2023. The event, gave students, academics, and Industries a chance to present their innovations. It highlighted the faculty’s dedication to encouraging innovation and quality by showcasing a wide range of projects across various technological fields.
The exhibition featured a diverse array of projects spanning various domains of technology, highlighting the faculty’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence.
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude to students and stated that the country needs professionals who are practical and pragmatic. Prof Prasanna Premadasa, Dean of the Faculty, expressed pride in the achievements of the students and faculty, and he thanked all the esteemed guests including Deputy Vice-Chancellor Brig DCA Wickramasinghe for their presence.
The exhibition was attended by students from a large number of schools in and around Colombo. At the conclusion of the exhibition, the most popular exhibit was selected based on the voting by the visitors. Accordingly, the “Face recognition door unlock system” was chosen as the “Most popular exhibit item”.
